Finally my prayers have been answered. I know I'm on the Model Space site, but IXO Collections now has the 1/8 Porsche 917 available:

They are located in France. I found out from them that if you have at least a 99 Euro purchase, your shipping is free. So if you order 2 boxes (49.99 Euros each) at a time, your total gives you free shipping which is great for delivery to the USA. And don't make my mistake. Make sure you order Box 1 which has Kits 1, 2, 3 and 4. They have another Box 1 which only has Kits 2, 3 and 4 in it (don't know why). And they ship fast. I ordered Boxes 1, 2 and 3 on July 21st and they arrived on July 27th, a week later! Today I put together Kits 2 and 3 and like it so far. Screws labeled AM are for metal installation and CP for plastic. You can match up a lot of the parts with what's in the plastic containers as the parts have numbers to match up with the pictures. I would still advise using taps on the metal parts that need to have the corresponding screws put into them.
